Snap! Raise Fundraiser
Hi Band & Guard Families,
Our biggest fundraiser of the year is officially kicking off this Thursday and we need your help right away. Please read this before the Mandatory Band Parent meeting, more will be discussed.
What is Snap! Raise?
Snap! Raise is our program's biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year, it brought in over $31,000 for our band and guard program. We get to keep 90% of all contributions — one of the highest payout percentages of any fundraising platform out there — so nearly every dollar raised goes directly back to our students.
We have a custom campaign site set up just for our program — QR code attached to this email.
On Thursday, July 30th: Our Snap! Raise rep, Aaron, is meeting with our students in the afternoon to set up their accounts and get them started the right way. Note: this is web-based, not an app — no download needed. You can actually do this AHEAD of Thursday with your student using the QR code below and help them enter all the info at home ahead of Thursday.
What we need from YOU, right now, before that meeting:
1. Tell your student this is happening today. Make sure they know Aaron is meeting with them and they'll be setting up their account. You are welcome to help them set up the account before Thursday if you want to get a head start. Just use the QR code below.
2. Get them a list of 20 quality emails and 20 quality phone numbers, ready to copy and paste in. Think family, friends, coworkers, neighbors — everyone counts. There is a chance emails from last year will port over, but to be safe, provide a fresh list of people likely to donate.
3. Tell your student to invite YOU as their guardian/parent. Once they've added you as a parent on their account, you can jump in and help them invite others from there. That way you can help manage and oversee the fundraiser. The dopamine hit from donations is real.
I know it's early in the school year, but this really is the fundraiser — the one that makes the biggest difference for our program all year. This is all hands on deck, and now is the time to reach into your extended network for any contribution you can get.
We'll go over more strategies at our upcoming band meeting this Tuesday, including how it's genuinely possible — and easier than you'd think — for your student to raise over $1,000 each through Snap! Raise, with 90% going straight to the band through an easy step-by-step social media strategy.
