Seaside Lagoon will play host to WOWSA (World Open Water Swimming Association) Ocean Fest, an international event to showcase our incredible coastline as the proposed open water swim course for the LA 2028 Olympics and celebrate all things ocean related.
Sunday will host the largest Ocean 5k & 10k race in California with about 500 swimmers. The opening ceremony on Sunday morning will include a procession from the Seaside Lagoon, around the pier, and over to the starting line at Veterans Park.
6:30 am Call time at the Field/ Trailer if you need to pick up your instrument, or Lower Barn for Battery.
7:00 am Call time, band room – Uniform Ready. HAIR: NO SHAKOS – Hair Gel for Guys, Girls in Ponytail, – Hair Neatly Done.
7:30 am Leave Band Room to walk to Seaside Lagoon.
8:00 am All meet at Seaside Lagoon. Dance guard call time if they are coming meet at Seaside as well.
8:30 am Parade processional starts – from Seaside Lagoon, around the pier, and over to the starting line at Veterans Park.
